In the Arctic landscapes of Karasjok, water quietly shapes the land. Small streams run through forests and tundra, sometimes almost hidden, yet always part of the northern landscape. One of these is Danskar, named after the Sámi word for a little stream. A simple name that reflects the quiet presence of water in this region.

Our cabin Danskar carries that connection to the land. Located beside a small stream and close to the lodge sauna, it sits peacefully within the surroundings of Engholm Lodge. Built with traditional log craftsmanship and natural materials, Danskar reflects the warmth and authenticity of life in the north.

Inside, the cabin offers a cosy, modern comfort. At its heart glows a fireplace, filling the space with soft light and the calming warmth of fire.

Situated near the sauna and surrounded by Arctic nature, Danskar is both a place to unwind and a reminder that here, even the smallest elements of the landscape, like a quiet stream, are part of the story of the land.
