Cabin no. 3

In the valley of Karasjok, pine trees stand tall and resilient, shaping the landscape of Northern Norway. These evergreens carry rich symbolism: they represent vitality, endurance and strength, surviving harsh winters while offering protection and clarity.
In Nordic tradition, pines were not only practical for daily life but also associated with rebirth and continuity, reflecting the enduring spirit of the north. In Sámi, Soarvi means "a standing, dry pine tree", a name that reflects the cabin's connection to the forest and the resilience of the Arctic landscape.
Soarvi cabin embodies this symbolism in both name and design. Nestled in the forest, it is the largest cabin at Engholm Lodge. Its walls and structure convey resilience: rooted, enduring, and generous — offering a warm and welcoming retreat for guests.
Here, stories are shared, echoing old fireside traditions. Soarvi cabin invites visitors to experience the Arctic North in a space that combines comfort, connection and the timeless spirit of the surrounding wilderness.
