Under Latnja's porch roof: hides and antlers on the log wall, snow beyond
Under the porch roof

In Sámi, Latnja means "room", a simple word carrying deep meaning in the Arctic north. In a land shaped by open plateaus, endless skies and vast silence, Latnja is a symbol of intimacy and belonging. It represents a place to gather, rest and share warmth when the cold wind sweeps across Finnmarksvidda.

At Engholm Lodge, the Latnja cabin embodies this spirit. Built from local timber and designed with care, it's a space where the wilderness feels close, yet comfort feels closer. The scent of wood, the soft glow of light and the quiet rhythm of nature outside create a harmony that invites calm and reflection.

Latnja isn't just a room, it's a pause in time. A reminder that in the Arctic, true luxury lies in simplicity, silence and connection.
