Summer dog camp on a island


Day trip. 3 hr + transport.
A special experience you never will forget. Let us share the wonderful enthusiasm of the sled dogs  with you. Come to understand the special relationship between us and dog.

Net fishing + rod fishing. We keep 30 of our friendly sled dogs on a island. Twice a day, they are swimming and running free. Only 20 min. driving from Karasjok.

From about 15th July to 15th August you have the opportunity to experience the sled dogs from Engholm Husky when they are on their summer holiday on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake is only 20 minutes' drive from Karasjok on the way to Lakselv and North Cape. The program includes: - Boat trip from the road to the “dog island” - Socializing with the dogs and experience their interaction with their handlers when the dogs are let loose and allowed to move around freely.  Cold and hot drinks are served around campfire.

 

 

Overnight tour.  
We suggest that you consider to extend the experience to an overnight stay. This will give you time to include nature walks, taking part in fishing with nets or fishing with rods.
